Corporate Trainer (Two (2) Vacancies) - Contract Full-time (18 months)

Location: Overlea Boulevard, Toronto


The Successful Candidates will be required to:

  • Deliver established Navision, products and services, and various other training programs for new and current employees. This includes effective evaluation of all training programs on a continual basis;
  • Convert current training curriculum into the LMS platform. This will involve vetting established programs for appropriate on-line learning methodologies (i.e. self-guided, facilitator led, etc). This will eventually include facilitation of new LMS training modules with facilitator-led training;
  • Develop, implement and deliver new training as needs are established. This may be a change to policy or procedure, a new product launch or the introduction of an entirely new function within the organization;
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company products and services to support training initiatives. This includes assisting managers and employees looking for support in a variety of areas on a frequent basis. Become a resource of information for staff to call upon when required;
  • Liaise with Managers, Assistant Managers to determine training needs for various roles, and obtain feedback on training programs delivered. Liaise with Director of Human Resources to align training initiatives;
  • Manage all administrative processes related to course delivery, e.g. facilities, participant enrollment, course materials, record-keeping, evaluations, measurement tracking, creation and release of product and training updates to appropriate employees;
  • Perform any related sundry activities as assigned.

Days and Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week;
  • Monday to Friday.



  • At least 5 years working experience with MPG;
  • Proficiency in Navision and Microsoft Office Suite are required;
  • Thorough understanding of MPG policies and procedures for funeral and/or cemetery operations;
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Creativity and initiative;
  • Comfortable speaking to groups of employees in person and virtually;
  • A valid driver’s licence and vehicle are required;
  • Experience in more than one role would be an asset;
  • Proficiency with hosting Zoom meetings is an asset.
